Friday 28th November saw the intrepid Tranny Grange hostesses
catching the new Duo flight from Birmingham to Copenhagen. Debs was a little
unsure as the plane was so tiny but I told her to remember that SIZE isn’t
EVERYTHING ! We were met at Kastrup airport by fellow Tranny Grange girl Miss
Katarina – who shares my surname – Swallows <s> - so you could say we
are sisters I guess, where we learned that she had just signed up for a new
Tranny venue, and Grand Opening Night was the following night ! Well not
wishing to found wanting, the Tranny Grange machine sprang into action and
surprise, surprise, the club opened on Saturday as planned to a rapturous
welcome from local gays, trannies and admirers alike. The bar had two ‘Barbie
type’ statuettes with large wobbly boobies, and the DJ control was festooned
with pink sweetheart lights. We SCOURED the local stores for pink tinsel but
it seems they just don’t have any in Denmark. Not to worry, Debs acquired a
bagful here in the UK for Kat to collect next time she is over. The Grand Opening of Kat’s Klub wasn’t the only reason
for our visit. We also had theatre tickets for The Rocky Horror Show which
was SPECTACULAR ! Unlike in London where we saw it at the Queens in the
summer, the squirting of water pistols, throwing of rice and toilet paper,
and waving of lighters was positively ENCOURAGED, to the extent that you
could buy a Rocky Horror Accessories Pack in the foyer! We were also
delirious to find that the otherwise outwardly conservative Danes, like to
get dressed up and party just as much as we do in Good Old Blighty ! As
